Σφοδρές συγκρούσεις για τις αυξήσεις των πανεπιστημιακών διδάκτρων στην Κένυα

Η αστυνομία έχει στριμώξει σε μία αίθουσα δύο φοιτητές. Αιτία της διαμαρτυρίας των φοιτητών ήταν τα πανεπιστημιακά δίδακτρα. Κατέβηκαν στους δρόμους της πρωτεύουσας της Κένυα και εκεί συνάντησαν τα ΜΑΤ της χώρας με τα οποία συγκρούστηκαν στο πανεπιστήμιο του ναϊρόμπι.
Εκατοντάδες σπουδαστές αγανακτισμένοι από την οικονομική πίεση που βιώνουν βγήκαν στους δρόμους να διαμαρτυρηθούν για την προτεινόμενη αύξη των διδάκτρων τους. Η αστυνομία προσπάθησε να καταστείλει τη διαδήλωση και επήλθε η σύγκρουση. Οι αστυνομικοί πάνοπλοι σαν αστακοί κυνήγησαν τους φοιτητές και μέσα στο πανεπιστήμιο.
Τα ΜΑΤ έριξαν δακρυγόνα και μέσα στις αίθουσες. Έγιναν αρκετές συλλήψεις.
