The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (DIEM) of Aalto University conducts world-class research and education focusing on the creation and transformation of technology-based business. The approximate timescale for completing the doctoral degree is 4 years. The employment and doctoral student admission decisions are made in May and the new doctoral students will start at latest in August 2018. The employment will be two years full-time for the first contract, which can be extended to cover the rest of the doctoral study. The maximum funding period is 4 years in total. Good command of English is a necessary prerequisite.
